Tiphaine is a contemporary oil painter and visual storyteller with a focus on portraiture. With bold lines and a sharp focus on the human gaze, the works capture a powerful sense of defiance.

Her practice investigates the intersection of classical portraiture and contemporary psychological surrealism, focusing on how internal states manifest across the human body. The artist uses the portrait as a site of transformation, juxtaposing flesh with disruptive, foreign elements.

She holds a Masters degree in Theology from the University of Oxford, and attended drawing classes at the Ruskin School of Art. She worked as an Archaeological Illustrator for ten years in the UK and France. Her work has exhibited at the Nassau County Museum of Art, New York, and features in private collections in Australia, Canada, Croatia, Dubai, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Miami, Long Island (the Lachaise Foundation), Romania, South Africa and the UK.

Her evocative portraits continue to challenge conventional perceptions of identity, reality and the soul.
